Mascara Me !

Hello Lovelies ! :)

Mascara is the topic for today and boy oh boy do I love a good mascara.
I have tried and tested a countless number of mascaras and there has never seemed to be the PERFECT ONE.
There have been a few really good ones, but there would always be a certain element missing to make it unbeatable from the rest.

My eye lashes are quite long but very flat and heavy meaning it was hard to keep a curl even after I curled my lashes. I didn't realise that using non-waterproof was weighing down my lashes and I would just assume that I would never be able to hold a curl.
Afters years of sighing over my flat eye lashes I found out that waterproof mascaras actually helped keep the curl and that I wasn't the only one out there with this problem.

What happened to my lashes after waterproof mascara? My life changed. HA.

Today I have 3 mascaras to show you which I am currently using and loving for all different reasons.

Nail It! :)

Hello Lovelies! :)

The polish I'm nailing today is Revlons nail polish in 229 Demure!

Demure is a creamy warm apricot/peach colour with a silvery sheen which doesn't really show on the nails.
If you look closely, you can notice the silver touch, but otherwise it just looks like a very feminine peach colour.

A perfect spring colour to accompany bright colours in your wardrobe or to just make you feel good!
Paired with white, cream or peachy coloured clothes will tie everything together.
It went on perfect with just two coats. You may get be able to get away with one, but the second coat will even out the whole look.

If your looking for more colour for your nails but still desire the mature look, this colour will definately label you as mature and feminine.

You cant go wrong with Revlon nail polish.
Price: $14.95 at Priceline

Lip Product Review!

Hello Lovelies ! :)

I have two new products to review for you guys which I purchased along with the Revlon Lip Butters.
The Revlon ColourStay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick and Rimmel London Colour ShowOff Lipstick.

First of all the Revlon ColourStay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick - Vigorous Voilet.
This product is new to the lip range for Revlon which has the unique formula of a lip gloss but in reality is a lipstick. The colour I own has a buildable colour payoff whether you like the sheer or opaque look.
One swipe will give you a tinge of colour but the more layers you apply the more visible the colour becomes on your lips.
The finish is predominately matte meaning if you like shine than this might not be the thing for you.
You can set it off with a clear lip gloss for a more glossy feel.
The lipstick formula is considerably long lasting as with each swipe it blends, sets and sinks into your lips meaning the colour will last longer with the staining effect.

Yes the price once again is crazy high at around $26 a tube but hopefully you can snatch it up during a sale or at Chemist Warehouse which always has 15% off Revlon products.

The packaging is simple but not cheap looking with its long test-tube like container and black lid. Just simple.
The colour range is more on the safe side so if you like more neutral, natural, wearable colours than you might like the range they have to offer. I on the other hand like a more diverse range in colours so if there isn't another colour that catches my eye I think I might just stay with the one colour that I own.

Rimmel London Colour ShowOff Lipstick - Tell No One.
The Rimmel London lipstick is truly becoming one of my favourite lipsticks.
The colour is AH-MAZING as it is a more softer, creamier orange compared to the bright neon in-your-face oranges that are popping up in all lipstick lines these days.
Yes it is relatively bright, but it is also very easy going and wearable orange.
The formula is dry and matte.
I do feel that if the product had a bit more moisture built in, this would definitely be an outstanding product
But a little bit of lip balm wont do any harm before applying this lipstick. So layer away.

I feel it to be a bit too bright when swiping on the colour so I dab it on lightly and spread it around, puckering my lips as I go.
The packaging is quite cute with its metallic, shiny casing and RL logo on the top.

I've always known that Rimmel London lipsticks have been a pretty unbeatable compared to high end products so I'm definitely going to be trying more. Also with the affordable price, it's pretty hard to miss out on! (Sorry don't remember the price but its between $6-14)

Butter Up Revlon!

Hello Lovelies ! :)

I am finally here with the long awaited Revlon Lip butter review and swatches!

I am 100% sure there isn't anyone who hasn't heard of this raved about lip product released by Revlon a few months back overseas.
The Revlon Lip Butters have finally hit our shores and is in for great demand.
Yes the price is ridiculous at $21 or so a pop (whereas USA its average &6) but if you can get your hands on a good deal like I did at Priceline at 2 for 1 it cannot be missed!

I have a total of 3 butters: Peach Parfait, Tutti Frutti, Strawberry Shortcake.
This lip product is known for its great colour pigmentation and smooth moisturising formula that will keep your lips luscious and rich.
So do they live up to their highly raved expectation? YES INDEED IT DOES!
I wish I had all colours but alas... too expensive here so I'll just have to wait for another deal to come by.
The colours that I have are very wearable and not too overwhelming.
Formula is unbeatable with its rich creamy texture and high levels of moisture. I can't believe a drugstore product can out weigh any high end cosmetic lip product.

Nail It! :)

Hello Lovelies! :)

I'm back with another NAIL IT post to show you my current favourite polish!

Revlon's Nail Enamel in SCANDALOUS. Part of the 'Expressionist by GUCCI Westman for Revlon' line.

This polish is very eye catching and funky indeed with its dark base and rich purple/pink large glitter particles.
It is best applied with a dark purple/black base so then you don't need to constantly layer up the polish.
One or two layers topped over a dark polish will do just fine.
I used OPI's- Lincoln Park after dark (a very dark purple, nearly black)

Pros - Rich glitter pick up with one swipe.
           Excellent colour

Cons - Needs a few layers to bring out the true effect if no base colour is used.

All in all this colour has become one of my favourite colours. Quick and easy and very intense!
P.S. These pictures are not doing this colour any justice!

Base: Essie Protein base coat
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Instadry

Nail It! :)

Hello Lovelies ! :)

Every week or so I change my nail colour/design so I'll be doing weekly nail tutorials/reviews on the colours or design that I am currently nailing!

Last night I decided to try the new nail polish I got in my Priceline goody bag.

Rimmel London - Wine Not.

The first photo was taken at work and the next two at home. Two layers.

As you can see, depending on lighting the colour may differ but it is still a great shade.
For the coming winter season, its a great shade to keep in your collection and its uber cheap too!

Pros: Around $6 for Rimmel London nail polishes and also great quality
Creamy and didn't take too long to dry
Cons: Was a bit streaky with the first coat, but the second coat evens out the colour.

I know Rimmel nail polishes are pretty damn good considering the price so if you're strapped for cash then these will do you well!

Priceline Haul ! weeeee :)

Hello there lovelies!

For the first official post I decided to dedicate it to a haul.
Everyone loves hauls... well I certainly do.
Watching what people purchase shows first hand whats popular at this specific moment within the beauty world and gives us ideas on what is best to try out and why.

So to start off with my first haul.. I visited Priceline (Australia's leading drugstore/chemist or whatever you call it in your part of the world)
They were having a pretty awesome deal where you buy
+ $60 worth of products from a selection of brands and you score a gift bag with products worth $220
+ Revlon was having a 2 for 1 sale on lip and nail products. YAY!
(This offer lasts until the 23rd of April until stocks last so get in quick!)

To those who don't live in Australia, $60 to spend at a drugstore seems like a lot of money... but here the price on beauty products is out of the roof so.. its not that hard to fulfill. Unfortunately.

So really... how can you go past that?! So of course I jumped in straight away and opened my wallet.
